Tour of the brand new GEM Building The University of Maine’s GEM (Green Engineering and Materials) building is the “factory of the future” on the Orono Campus. Scheduled for a grand opening in Fall 2026, be one of the first to tour this mass-timber facility that serves as a cutting-edge hub for large-scale bio-based additive manufacturing, AI-enabled 3D printing, and robotics. Bus leaves Buchanan Alumni House at 2:00pm. Tour Space is limited.
